"Everybody can be great… Because anybody can serve”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
On Martin Luther King Day of Service, January 18, thousands of Americans across the country went to serve their communities to honor life of Dr. King.
Hundreds of volunteers joined MLK Day of Service in Arlington city, TX. There were various tasks assigned throughout the community. CLIP Foundation together with international volunteers and citizens of Arlington, TX, did a big clean up. There were 25 houses in the city that needed to be cleaned. During 4 hours of service CLIP volunteers cleaned one large yard from leaves and trash, cut the trees and brunches, thereby helping people to have beautiful and neat yard.
It was wonderful to see how people from different parts of the world (volunteers from Paraguay, France, Ghana, Honduras, Russia and USA) come together to honor life of Dr. King and serve the community of Arlington. During the project people came to know each other, shared their life stories, helped each other.
CLIP volunteers had unique experience to see that service doesn’t distinguish the skin color or religion to which you belong.
Together we can make a difference for a better future!
